Matt Lewis has joined CMS as an intern where he’ll be working alongside our digital department to develop his knowledge and skills on all areas marketing and learn how it is all integrated together. Matt is an extremely bright young entrepenuer who has already launched an ecommerce website that targets the mens accessories market. Here’s what Matt had to say about his venture and how he’s looking forward to working with us here at CMS.
“The idea came from a problem I encountered whilst shopping in York. I was looking for Men’s fashion accessories (such as Bags, Belts, Bracelets etc) and found myself searching for hours in all the major Menswear stores. This was incredibly time consuming and because of this, I felt the high street was missing a Men’s fashion store purely devoted to accessories.
Instead of going to University, I decided to start AFM in September 2015. The business has started off trading at both local event stalls (based around Leeds, York and Harrogate) and online via our website at www.accessoriesformen.co.uk. It’s been running for over 4 months now and has already gone much better than I thought it would to begin with!
As I’m only 18, I had no experience in marketing and running a business, so set about finding companies which I could gain valuable industry knowledge. This is how I came across CMS Advertising based in Leeds. What made CMS so appealing was the fact that they offered a full marketing service, rather than specialising in just one area such as SEO, meaning I could benefit from their expertise!
I’m here for 6 weeks and am excited to learn all there is to do with marketing from CMS.”
