Jun 21, 2018
Are we the greenest marketing agency in Leeds?
Today Creative Marketing Services celebrates Clean Air Day Leeds 2018. For those who live and work in the city, it’s a chance to find out more about the real effects of air pollution around the world. CMS are always striving to become greener and our Leeds head office puts into practice a variety of methods to ensure our air stays clean and to make sure our staff stays healthier.
What does Clean Air Day provide for Leeds?
Clean Air Day is a campaign designed to raise awareness of the need to tackle pollution. It will see cities across the UK come together to reduce their pollution by making some simple changes to the way they travel to work. Those who live in and commute to Leeds have been asked to “Go Green” on 21 June 2018 to showcase their support for improving pollution levels in the city. The Clean Air Leeds team (part of Leeds City Council) will be on Briggate, ready to answer any questions and chat about the projects taking place across Leeds to combat pollution throughout the city. They are showcasing electric vehicles and providing activities for children and adults alike. At the heart of it all is a belief that everyone should come together to ensure a healthier and cleaner lifestyle. With major cities coming together to support the cause, Clean Air Day is a chance to demonstrate that our collective commitment can make a real difference.
How does CMS provide back?
The eco-friendly values behind Clean Air Day are certainly familiar to CMS. Our offices at Hollinthorpe Hall, set in a semi-rural location, use clean energy systems in order to generate power. We heat our building using a state-of-the-art biomass boiler, fuelled by wood pulp, and we provide our own electricity using solar panels on our roof. We have eco-friendly electric cars, driving ahead of our peers in embracing the technological advances that represent the key to a cleaner, healthier future.
At CMS, we certainly take the issue of pollution seriously - we support a cleaner, healthier Leeds in deeds and not just words. There are many simple things that we can all do to improve air quality. By taking these steps we can look after our own and other people’s health.
